This guide takes you from a brand-new account to a real wallet pass in your own phone. Doing it once, end to end, is the quickest way to understand what your golfers experience — and to spot anything you'd like to change before they see it.
Set aside about 15 minutes. You'll need your club logo and the login for your tee-sheet provider (ChronoGolf or Lightspeed Golf).
Step 1 — Create your account
Sign up with your work email and choose a password. When you do, GolfPass automatically creates a club for you and makes you its admin — the role that can change every setting. There's nothing to configure at this stage; the account and club are ready immediately.
Step 2 — Set your club details
Open Settings → Club and fill in:
- Club name — appears on the pass and in the emails golfers receive.
- Time zone — this one matters more than it looks.
Set your time zone carefully. It's how GolfPass shows the correct tee time on the pass and how automatic reminders fire at the right moment. A wrong time zone means passes and reminders can be off by hours.
Step 3 — Brand your pass
Open Pass Design and make the pass look like your club:
- Upload your logo (a crisp, high-resolution image).
- Choose a background colour and a text colour that stay readable in bright sunlight.
- Watch the preview update as you go.

Step 4 — Connect your tee sheet
This is the step that turns everything on. Open Integrations and connect your provider:
- Using ChronoGolf? Follow Connecting ChronoGolf.
- Using Lightspeed Golf? Follow Connecting Lightspeed Golf.
You'll sign in to your provider and approve access. Once the connection shows as active, GolfPass starts checking your tee sheet for bookings every few minutes and issuing passes. See How tee-sheet syncing works.
Until a tee sheet is connected, no passes are issued — there are no reservations for GolfPass to turn into passes yet. This is normal for a brand-new account.
Step 5 — Send yourself a test pass
Before real golfers get involved, send a pass to your own address. Open the test-pass tool in Settings, enter your email, and send. You'll receive the same email a golfer gets, with Add to Apple Wallet / Add to Google Wallet buttons.
- Open the test-pass email on your phone (not a computer — passes can only be added from a phone).
- Tap Add to Apple Wallet (iPhone) or Add to Google Wallet (Android).
- Confirm, and the pass lands in your wallet.
- Open it and check the details, the logo, and the colours against what you expected.
What golfers receive
When a real booking comes in, the golfer gets that same email automatically — a friendly note with the add-to-wallet buttons. They tap, the pass appears, and they're done. No app, no account, no password.
Keep your test pass on your phone for good. Whenever you tweak your branding or want to confirm a reminder looks right, you'll have a real pass on a real device to check against — far more reliable than the on-screen preview alone.
